My homie Stu put me on to this article about NWA which is plain incredible because of the depth McDermott goes into about the crew. I highly recommend this read.

My brother made the argument that M.O.P. kind of replaced the void Onyx left when they faded from importance. I agree in some respects because if you're looking for something that will get you hyped you look for these dudes. I mean c'mon...SLAM? Ante Up? Shiftee? How About Some Hardcore? If these don't get you live then you're half dead.
